Jeff Rettew, M.S.

Jeff grew up in New Jersey before heading to Vermont for his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Middlebury College. After spending several years in psychology research in Boston and Philadelphia, Jeff pursued his doctoral degree in counseling psychology from the University of Kansas (KU), where he is currently a doctoral candidate. After five long, hot summers, he is glad to be back in New England! Trained as a competent generalist, Jeff has worked with clients in various settings, primarily in university counseling centers. He especially enjoys working with college students and has a particular passion for career/major decision-making and issues related to the college adjustment process. He has experience teaching a first year orientation seminar and an undergraduate career development course, and served as a teaching assistant for graduate courses in counseling skills and positive psychology. His dissertation project/research focused on helping first year college students become more engaged and confident in their relationship with their major and career possibilities. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys getting outdoors with his family – hiking, biking, skiing, snowshoeing – basically any way to get some exercise and enjoy this beautiful planet!
